At Red House Grow Co., everything starts with the soil. We grow using organic practices because we believe healthy food begins with healthy land. That means no synthetic pesticides, no herbicides, and no shortcuts. We rely on natural growing methods, healthy soil, crop rotation, and physical row covers to protect our crops instead of chemical sprays.
Growing in Montana isn’t for the faint of heart. Healthy soil, lots of time outside, and paying attention to what the plants are telling us is what keeps us going. We don’t use synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or weed killers.
Instead, we let nature do a lot of the heavy lifting and step in with practical solutions when we need to. We use row covers to shade our plants from the harshness of the sun, act as bug shields, and help protect young plants from insects, wind, and even those classic Montana spring cold snaps.
While we're not certified organic, we grow using organic practices from seed to harvest.
Instead of constantly disturbing the ground, we let earthworms, microbes, and natural biology build rich soil.

We don't buy produce from wholesalers or truck it in from other states.
We aren’t trying to grow everything all year long. We’re market growers, which means we grow what Montana is naturally producing each season. If it isn’t in season here, we simply don’t have it.
You won’t find produce trucked in from California, Mexico, or anywhere else to fill empty tables. We like watermelons in June too, but that’s not market farming. What you see at our stand was grown right here on our farm.
